Western Canada High School is part of a very small number of school in Calgary that offers French Immersion and a International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma in English and French (only Calgary public high school to offer the program in French). Western Canada High Schools is only one of two schools in the province of Alberta that provides Mathematics at a higher level. Moreover, Western Canada High School Calgary has an excellent visual arts and performing program.
